Norwegian University of Life Sciences is one of Norway’s leading educational institutions with 5200 students and 1700 employees at 2 campuses.

Background

Norwegian University of Life Sciences was established on 1 January 2014. The University is a merger of Norwegian School of Veterinary Science and the University of Life Sciences. Our task was to create a common brand platform and identity that could include and connect all the various disciplines.

As an important step in this process was the new website for the university launched in January 2016, designed by Neue.

Solution

The new NMBU website carries with it the unifying concept for their new brand platform; the university that sees new contexts. In a complex process involving many participants and many needs of a large organization, Neue assisted with consecutively consulting on user experience, project management and visual design.

A wide range of user needs from a broad user group was to be safeguarded. At the same time the university should emerge as a modern and forwardleaning institution, and communicate this.
